ABOUT ZENITH
Travis Bisson is the owner and creator of Zenith Climbing Co. He designs and crafts each climbing hold with great care and true artistry.
Since Travis was a child, he has had a love for the outdoors and specifically an affinity for rocks and crystals. After moving to Maine in his late-teens, he was drawn to rock-scramble hiking along the northern coast and searching for rocks along the shores of Schoodic and Acadia.
In his twenties, Travis's younger brother introduced him to indoor climbing and he was immediately hooked. He began searching his favorite hiking spots for climbing routes.
Primarily a boulderer, he craved the grit and sharp edges of the granite on the shores near his home and found that indoor climbing holds lacked that quality. "Sometimes plastic is just too big and comfy and doesn't mimic outdoor climbing."
When Covid hit, Travis was unable to go to gyms and limited in where he could go outdoors. He decided to create his own holds and by the end of 2020 Zenith was officially a company!
